When a five year old girl Heidi brought to her grandfather by her Aunt Dete, the people in the village were sure the grumpy old man will turn them down. But Heidi's peculiar personality soften her grandfather's heart, and for a while Heidi lived happily on the mountain, befriended Peter the goatherd and his grandmother. Unfortunately, Aunt Dete returned and took Heidi to Frankfurt to became a companion for a sickly rich girl, Clara. Soon Heidi made new friends, but she still missed her grandfather and lives on the mountain so much.⁣
